Artist Profile
Takako YUKI was born in Yokohama, JAPAN in 1981.In 2006, graduated Bunka Gakuen University, Department of Living Art and Design, Course of Crafts, Major of Ceramics.
Concept of my creation
I have had “Image of figure of human” since I was child.
I have been longing to make a figure out of it and it became the origin of my creation.
Texture and color which only ceramics can express, and feeling when I touch clay.
They bring back my old memories and give me peace of mind.
I would love to make the works which I can feel happy when I meet them at first sight.
Motif is not only human but also many kinds of animals, water, wind, and soil such images comes from nature.
I try to combine them into one work, and be conscious for “Coexistence” and “Resonance.”
I want to keep creating with concept of joy of life, warmth, Transience and sadness. Things I don’t want to forget. And things I want to be conscious for good.
