Kentaro MATSUKUMA
Artist Profile
Matsukuma was born in Wakayama, Japan in 1968. In 1992, Matsukuma graduated from Tokyo University of arts, with major in Sculpture and finished his postgraduate in Art with major in sculpture in 1994.
Matsukuma’s works are major in use of wood as the material. He believes wood has life. So he uses wood to express the breath of nature and the sense of the universe by giving them shapes as living creature with lives and anima.
