Artist Profile

Kim I Seul, also recognized as Dew Kim, is a Korean artist that specializes in using “Sukche” and “Bruche” paint, a traditional Korean pigment that is processed from grinding rocks with ink, using it on layered paper. Her work portrays scenes of landscapes from her travels around the globe, as well as excerpts of daily life. Her work includes vibrant colors that express diversity and culture, all the while using traditional Korean ink and paper. She is a candidate of the Master of Fine Arts in Korea’s Ihwa University, having obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Oriental Painting at Chugye University, Korea Lectured at Korea National university of Cultural Heritage.
